This is the second time he’s filled up this morning.

It’s amazing how thirsty a 2.5 liter engine can get, coupled with a 14.9 gallon tank....

My 40-gallon-tank V8-powered sub-5-mpg boat would like a word with you.

Given the numbers I routinely see from the 2.5T in my S60, I don’t doubt that a more performance-minded car can do even worse things when driven hard.

What is your real world range in the winter? I’ve been looking at i3s used and I’m curious what they are like in the winter.

My WRX burns through a third of a tank in a 20-minute track session. I don’t even want to think about the mpg.

My outback has the auto read out for fuel economy, floored in 2nd gear going about 25 mph I can get it down to 6 mpg. Otherwise floored in 5th or 6th 10 mpg is the minimum.

I didn’t have it but for the tail end of the winter, but there were cold days. I managed to still have over 20% battery left on the coldest day after my 44 mile commute, so it would have gone probably another 10-15 miles. But I also have the Rex, so I wasn’t worried.

I think the last time I visited a dino juice station was back in February. I don’t miss it.
But thankfully WWD doesn’t talk shit about charging antics, like parking half a mile away from Dave and Busters to get free charging. Walking is good for the heart.

44 mile round trip? Mine is 18 miles one way, but sometimes we have sub zero F conditions. I would have to park it inside, but at work it will be exposed to the elements.

This is more giving him crap for both of his cars being basically empty this morning, when he knew we were gonna be driving all day.

I got my E46 wagon down to ~ 4mpg driving it at Team O’Neil one day haha. I reset the counter at the start of the session.

Yeah, 22 miles one way. I’m also parked outside. I precondition in the garage while plugged in, so the heater doesn’t have to run much on my drive in, and the heated seats take care of most of my comfort both to and from work. If you look for a 2017+ with the 94 AH battery, you’d never have an issue.
